  • Adults are 1/5"x 1/8" oval flat and reddish brown to mahogany in color (about the size of a tick).
  • Bedbug eggs are white and about 1/25" (1 mm) long.
  • Females lay 1-5 eggs per day up to about 200.
  • At normal room temperature eggs hatch in 6-17 days.
  • Nymphs shed their skin five times as they mature. Each time they shed they need a blood meal. This takes about 14-30 days.
  • Bed bugs are very hardy and can live up to a year without food.
  • Bed bugs can overwinter in unheated buildings and live.
  • Adults live six to seven months up to eighteen months.
  • Bed bugs are excellent hiders and hitchhikers. They are extremely shy and wary
